Welcome to Book Club, a unique offering that bridges the gap between literature and personal exploration. Led by experienced therapist Azenay, this book club provides a safe and inclusive space for individuals to engage in meaningful discussion centered around diverse narratives.
It’s essential to clarify that while the Book Club is facilitated by a licensed therapist, it is not a substitute for therapy and does not make Azenay your therapist. Instead, it serves as a complementary experience, offering a structured platform for introspection and connection with others through the lens of literature.
With both virtual and in-person options available, participants have the flexibility to join from anywhere in the United States, ensuring accessibility for all. Whether gathering online or in a physical setting, each session is designed to encourage open dialogue, empathy, and understanding. Through exploring the selected narrative together, members have the opportunity to connect their personal stories with the themes and characters of the month, gaining insights and perspectives that promote growth.
Although I aim to make each space safe, I recognize that is not something I can guarantee. Each group we will discuss group norms and how to collaboratively cultivate a safe space. There will be no tolerance to those who create an unsafe space during Book Club.
Each month, the books are a carefully curated selection of thought-provoking choices for you to explore. Feel free to sign up for as many book discussions as you like, or simply join the ones that pique your interest.
Participants are responsible for purchasing the selected book independently and each group is an hour long.
Your story is your story. Don’t see it represented here? Reach out using the contact form so I can create a group that meets your needs. You deserve to be heard and I’m ready to listen.
